Sailing on the Icon of the Seas this Saturday for my 74th BD cruise.

Just found out that the special 'headliner' act is Nickelback!!! Perhaps!!!!

My wife and I just got back from a Rhine River cruise with AMAWaterways. I am not a ocean cruiser as I don't gamble, like Vegas style shows or need to drink expensive liquor or eat all I can eat. But, this cruise was AWESOME. We spent 3 days in Amsterdam, then cruised to Basel, Switzerland, with stops in Cologne, Dusseldorf, Heidelberg, Strasbourg, ending in Basel. (I probably forgot a few stops.) We then bused to Lucerne and Zurich for the final 4 days. All excursions were included as was wine and beer at lunch and dinner and drinks and apps at happy hour. What a trip. We will do it again with AMA and are looking at the Mekong next winter. But, first a safari in Africa. Retirement is great.

The 'Nickleback" thing was a thickly laid hoax.

But, the ship is real.

Sunday is a Sea Day
Monday is Costa Maya
Tuesday is Roatan
Wednesday is Cozumal
Thursday is a Sea Day
Friday is Coco Cay
Saturday morning is back at dock in Miami

I did that same itinerary last year on the Wonders of the Seas cruise boat. My first cruise and hopefully not my last.

Last Tuesday was my birthday. I got off the ship in Roatan and walked around the harbor shopping for about an hour. When I got back on the ship close to 11:00, , , I was surprised that the casino was open. Just slots, no tables. So, , , ,

A crisp $50 into a 'Dancing Drums', , , , a couple of $1.88 spins and Fooking Aye !!!!!!!! Hit a large 'hand pay' !! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Bummer was that I had to go have a couple of tequilas to bide-my-time until the Cage opened at 2:00.

Did that this summer, Kenya and Tanzania. Fantastic trip. You'll enjoy.
