It's always the same thing. They draw a battle line against child sex crimes. Everyone agrees and lines up on their side. They are doing God's work. Then come the hat in the hand requests for money, the reminders that it's a non profit the tried and true "it's expensive doing the Lord's work and we come to you because the Lord has blessed you so abundantly" pitch. The money gets dump trucked in, the charlatans are unsupervised and unaccountable and then have the brilliant idea to do their missions in other countries, far from prying eyes, law enforcement and any dissent. Then you have a recipe for disaster, a group of wealthy powerful men using their religion as a front, to indulge their basest desires under the authority of that religion. Notice how these assholes have to use the word wives? They can't call their demands for sex outside of marriage and consent what they really are so they traffick in euphemisms like wives instead of rape victims for some and whores for others. It always starts with something everyone can agree on and everyone strongly condemns and it ends with a dirty old man pleading his intentions when he started.

I am glad I was forced to read the classics. This reminds me of the scarlet letter. There's a part in the book where the good Reverend is giving his most passionate speech about chastity, adultery and fidelity. He and the crowd are on fire while his baby grows within Hester. At his most hypocritical moment, the reverend was at his most compelling point as the preacher. This was the insight in that book that I remember even now so many years later.

Sound of Freedom Producer Admits to Groping Possibly Underage Trafficking Victim's Breasts

Paul Hutchinson - an executive producer on Sound of Freedom, the film loosely based on anti-trafficking expert Tim Ballard - has admitted to touching the breasts of a possibly underage trafficking victim during a 2016 sting operation in Mexico.

Documents obtained through a public records request from VICE News include descriptions showing that Hutchinson and OUR believed the trafficking victim was 16 years old at the time.

When contacted by VICE, Hutchinson did not push back on the investigator's description of his actions nor did he deny touching the trafficking victim's naked breasts.
