Jennyboy, I'm not sure you have to be an environmentalists to discourage people from setting thousands of pounds of batteries on fire. I would consider that sane. Unlike most here, I've never put any thought into what anyone drives. It's none of my business. However, it is extremely convenient for these latte-lapping professor types, who don't realize that most nice cars these days have dash and rear cameras, that Musk does own Tesla. I would assume that there really isn't much risk of finding out what the barrel of a gun tastes like when damaging a Tesla if Teslas have to be owned by 80%+ rich democrats.
