Following a big downgrade to the US Credit Rating, the Trump budget bill Republicans just passed not only has riders giving the President the right to ignore the judicial branch of our republic, sweeping cuts to education, healthcare, research and everything else that actually makes Americans great, it adds $2.4 Trillion to the national debt.

Kinda makes me miss that communist muslim who significantly shrank the deficit while expanding access to affordable healthcare for millions, investing in alternative energy and other infrastructure, made the US energy independent while lowering energy costs. It's a shame his budget proposal wasn't adopted entirely because it was even better than the watered down version, much like the way they killed his plans for a public health insurance option which would've lowered healthcare costs for all of us.

On this trajectory the budget will only have spending for the bloated Vet-bro military and service on the debt.

And it will all be paid for by the working class.

The proposed debt is based on a decent economy. Shit will go bonkers when we have the tariff recession. Increased spending with less tax revenue is a bad combination. And all of this is being done on purpose.

Even the Ketamine Kid can see that this bill is bloated...

Musk fight escalates with threat to unseat any Republican who backed Trump bill

"I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore," wrote Musk on his X platform. "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it."
"In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people," wrote Musk.

While he didn't mention the GOP specifically, it followed several quote-tweets from lawmakers who oppose Trump's tax bill, and was in response to another commenter who wrote, "OK LET ME JUST GET THIS STRAIGHT... THE GOP ARE OUT THERE: 1) SPENDING MILLIONS ON LUXURY HOTELS IN UKRAINE 2) NOT VOTING ON ANY DOGE CUTS 3) SPENDING 60% OF THEIR TIME ON VACATION 4) NOT CODIFYING EXECUTIVE ORDERS IS THIS THE "MAJOR REFORM" THE AMERICAN PEOPLE VOTED FOR?!!!"

It ends some of his massive pork takings and he didn't get his FAA Starkink pork in there, so all his efforts to sabotage the FAA didn't pay off. Sad

GOP's biggest falsehoods about Medicaid in Trump's spending bill, debunked

It's undeniable: The House Republican reconciliation bill would take health coverage away from millions of people to partially pay for trillions in tax cuts, which are skewed to wealthy people and corporations. But the legislation's backers would rather dismiss these uncomfortable facts and the people harmed by the bill they support.

Many of the House bill's cuts target people enrolled through the ACA's Medicaid expansion for low-income adults, which most states adopted and without which many of these adults would lack any pathway to coverage. Johnson's contention that only Americans who "choose" to will lose coverage refers to the bill's so-called work requirements. But there's little choice - for individuals or states - under those harsh provisions, which take coverage away from certain low-income adults when they can't prove in a red-tape-laden process that they are working or should be exempt.

In fact, more than 90% of adults on Medicaid either work full time or part time or meet exemptions like disability, education or caregiving. Most of the remainder are retired or unable to find work. Under the GOP bill, the Congressional Budget Office estimates 5.2 million adults would lose Medicaid because of the work requirement, and other analysts, including my colleagues at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, think the number could be higher.

Also, under this bill, people would have to be employed to get Medicaid coverage in the first place. This harms people who lose employer coverage after a layoff, or who get sick and need care to get better and find work.

Anyone can pull the chart from the US Treasury and see that for several years we were on track to have a balanced budget within a few more years until some incompetent clown show made reckless changes in 2016 and then really F'd things up. And you morons invited in more economic chaos.
