>>The 100,000 sq. ft. ballroom currently being contemplated in the demolished space where the east wing once stood is now undergoing a recent redesign that may dramatically change how the new Trump Ballroom will look. Drafts of the plans have been leaked and show that the building will be made to appear as a bust of Trump. The artists tasked with this effort are no strangers to monolithic Trump busts, this is the same group that were commissioned to carve Trump's face into Mt. Rushmore. That venture was entirely funded by GEO group and the Qatari Foundation for Indigenous Art and Capital Venture.
An architect who is not affiliated with this project was provided a a copy of the drawings and asked to give his opinion on it, Theodore Speer, ironically the grandson of Albert Speer, a brilliant German architect from the early to mid 20th century, said the following: "It appears the building will be shaped like a bust of Trump. The exterior will all be clad in gold to reflect any source of light and each part of the colossal bust will have a company logo on it that will not be visible from a distance. Upon closer inspection, the viewer will be able to identify all of the donors like the pixels in a Seurat painting. The grand entrance will be from what appears to be the space under the chin, but because that area was a bit too accurate, the red curtains have been removed and its being redesigned to appear less like female genitalia. On the top of the sculpted dome, there are huge embossed letters spelling the DONALD J. TRUMP BALLROOM 2025, swimming in a sea of names like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, GEO, Amazon, APPLE, GOOGLE and various other billionaires seeking immortality in the monument. Structurally, there are significant challenges in supporting the extra weight without columns inside the ballroom and the added weight of the gold, which will in fact be iron pyrite, sometimes called fool's gold, has not appeared to have been considered. Without substantial redesign and doubling the budget, I do not believe that this project can be finished as proposed, on time or within budget." Trump, when asked about this, claimed to have no knowledge of the details of this new plan. When asked if he was going to donate to this ballroom, Trump demurred. Previous reporting has stated that Trump has yet to put any of his own money towards the personal project, but critics have called out the timing of Trump's demand the Federal government reimburse him over 22O million dollars that Trump claims to have spent defending himself on the litigation that ended once he became President again. Karoline Leavitt addressed the issue at a press conference. "Everyone else is shut down because of the Democrats, meanwhile Trump is making America Great Again with a project that costs the taxpayers nothing." When asked why Trump hadn't contributed to his own project, Leavitt stated "why would he? Too many other people want to be a part of this historic new building that everyone has been asking for since 2022. Also, its not like Trump needs to influence himself, so what would be the point?" ------------------------- "One of the reasons why propaganda tries to get you to hate government is because it's the one existing institution in which people can participate to some extent and constrain tyrannical unaccountable power." This is mine. Are you sure? It certainly sounds plausible. ------------------------- I was right. Edited: 10/24/2025 at 08:12 AM by Cole |
