You are assuming the leaker was a political appointee or politically motivated. But there's nothing to support your assumption or false accusations that the Obama Admin leaked Flynn. Most of those "deep state" guys are Republicans. My bet is on someone doing the right thing to "protect us from enemies, both foreign and domestic."

This entire thread has been about Susan Rice, a political appointee of Barack Obama who Obama has sent out to do his dirty work in the past, requesting the identities, aka unmasking, of Trump campaign members who had been surveilled.

How do you know she didn't leak Flynn's identity and details about the conversation?

once again, no laws were broken.  That used to be a simple phrase for conservatives to regurgitate, ad infinitum.  What happened.  Brain fade?

Leaking classified material is a felony under the Espionage Act and we know that happened. Just not sure who the leaker is yet. Also, this investigation is entirely too new to say whether or not more laws were broken.

Who gave Nunes the leaked information at the White House?

If there is no issue, why did Nunes move aside?

I never said Wikileaks hasn't leaked classified information in the past but we weren't talking about Wikileaks. Wikileaks has absolutely leaked classified information. Wikileaks typically just distributes the information. The actual leakers are people like Army Pfc. Bradley Manning, who was recently sentenced to 35 years in prison for violating the Espionage Act. So, we do prosecute those stealing our government secrets when we find them and I support that.

You said that no crimes have been committed as it relates to this situation and that is false. I figured I would remind you, to prevent you from running the risk of being mistaken for a haughty, hypocrite, asshole with a horrible case of brain fade.

Since throwing out accusations with no evidence is now Presidential....
why not post this"

"Sources with links to the intelligence community say it is believed that Carter Page went to Moscow in early July carrying with him a pre-recorded tape of Donald Trump offering to change American policy if he were to be elected, to make it more favorable to Putin. In exchange, Page was authorized directly by Trump to request the help of the Russian government in hacking the election."

The Executive Branch does not conduct investigations. It is not the FBI, CIA or any other form of intelligence agency. The Executive Branch is a consumer of information. If Susan Rice was conducting some sort of side-investigation for political purposes, because after all she is a political appointee of Barack Obama, then the people deserve to know what she was doing, who authorized it, and who ordered it.

Your scenario isn't comparing apples-to-apples. A more comparable story would be if a male secretary at a police station was using his legal channels to access addresses and personal information of dozens of children. One of those children who shows up several times in the list of children he requested information of happens to be molested by a stranger shortly after the information was requested and the stranger isn't caught. You have the records stating that this male secretary was clearly investigating children when he didn't have any reason to be investigating these children. Would it make sense to take a closer look at the situation?

Even republicans on the intelligence committees in both the house and senate have publicly stated Rice was acting within the law.

Section 7.2(c) of USSID 18 permits the "unmasking" of a U.S. person's identity if it is necessary to understand the foreign intelligence information or assess its importance. Specifically, this provision outlines several possible justifications upon which the government can rely to claim the unmasking was necessary, such as if the information indicates the U.S. person is an agent of a foreign power, is engaged in the unauthorized disclosure of classified information, may be involved in a crime, or may be the target of hostile intelligence activities of a foreign power.

At least two of Trump's top advisors were acting as agents of a foreign power, and filed after the fact registrations. It seems most of the other qualifiers also apply.

Furthermore, all she did was request the info. Is it even known if her request was approved?

Good day

Just as in my example, the secretary at the police station wouldn't be doing anything illegal by requesting information about certain individuals. That is what they do all day. However, what the secretary did with the information and what they used as justification to obtain the information could pose a legal problem for the secretary. It is too early for anyone to say whether or not Ms. Rice committed a crime. I also think you may be glamorizing/overstating the true definition of "foreign agent" under FARA guidelines. I think we are at the beginning of this story and far from the end.

That's certainly true of the entire investigation.

It dishonest for anyone to speculate that Ms. Rice committed a crime without any evidence other than a Morons tweets.

Susan Rice was on meet the press. She identified trump and his administration as a clown show and pointed out that the weaklings snd cowards that are supposed to tell the President the bad news, the news he doesn't want to hear and make sure he knows it. Benghazi was relevant because the GOP went after trump and blamed the deaths that occurred there on him. They created the road map.

Let's remind ourselves again about how much we should be able to find out. What did Donny bonespurs know and when did he know it. The word conspiracy was thrown around quit a bit when the last president was investigated. Let's see if the same crowd is looking at this russia bounty for American Troops the same eyes.

I can't wait for Snippy's apology for casting aspersions on a real patriot to make his traitorous idol look better. Surely he sees the error in his ways.

Snippy has to appreciate the criticism of Benghazi and how it should be applied to Trump's blind spot for anything and everything Russian and how that affected troops in the real world.
