initially trump got the vote due to pro-muslim sentiment and desire for unfettered immigration from islamic countries from some on the left. add in perceived lack of quality oversight in intaking refugees and, from the standpoint of some jews, anti-semitism. many will tell you this is why. not really surprising why some would feel this way tbh. a good many jewish feel like muslims want to wipe them off the face of the planet. some of that is quite justified too. now there is a bit of conundrum with trump embracing white nationalist groups, most of which hate the jewish people too. unfortunately many comments viewed as anti-semitism from left reps and increase pro-muslim sentiment balanced that out. add in trump being strongly behind israel, and you might understand why many still stand behind him. well providing you can look at things from another's pov
