The big employers around here are bending over backward to embrace the LGBTQ community. I don't see why you'd reject corporate sponsorship unless you want to demonize them behind their back to promulgate a victim mentality and push the false narrative that only the government can be their savior.

Private employers hire talent to help them make money. Generally, it's mutually beneficial.

By your logic, straight people should hate their employers too, because they were hired to make the employer money rather than for having a special or non-special orientation.
