The best thing the press could do would be to stop covering him. Stop acting like every outrage, every insult, every act of intimation is some sort of affront to humanity.
You can't call the cops. You can't speak to the manager. He's above the law, and his own party live in fear of his wrath. We know who he is. We know what he craves. It's attention; above all else. Deny him that, and he will wither away. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

Y'all won't be able to do that. Hate short circuits reason. But what you mention is one of the funniest things about all of this. The prog press wanted him to become the GOP nominee, because they thought he'd be slaughtered by Clinton and that the Republican party would be set back decades (that's exactly what they were saying at the time). So they gave him billions in free publicity. Once he became the nominee they, of course, set about trashing him at every opportunity. But by then the monster they had created had been loosed. I think if the press had ignored him early on, Clinton would be president now and we'd all be worse off. Funny how things work out, eh? Be careful what you ask for ....

I ask that the GOP cling to the aging ignorant douche bag in the oval office like they cling to their social security check as they scooter back from the mailbox. Young people (and of course anyone but uneducated aging white men) despise him.
