You don't know the youth, man. A new world is coming. Not this year necessarily, but one time no one believed that monarchy and feudalism could ever be overcome. Then one day...

The middle class carries the load now. I'm fine with the wealthy and corporations taking away some of the heat.

The people that orchestrate the wars need to pay for them. A multinational corporation that enjoys the protection of our military and infrastructure and security to make a profit needs to pay at least the rate on its assets that I do. It shouldn't be getting subsidies while the government debt skyrockets. But some folks want to be like merry old England where the merchants are expected to may all the taxes while the poor fight for crumbs and a few oligarchs control all the resources.

That's what I'm talking about. No one working for wages should pay a dime if the capitalists can afford this shit:

"Trump to headline a $580,600-per-couple fundraiser, the most expensive of his reelection bid, at the home of investment manager Nelson Peltz. He runs Trian Partners."

But if tax cuts pay for themselves, this will all work out. The wealth creators will buoy the revenues and provide for their workers in a Christian way like they do on Sundays.

It was reported that consumer debt hit $ one trillion this week.

Consumer spending accounts for roughly 70 percent of the current economy.

I am all for taxing the uber wealthy. About time they pay their fair share. They use far more of the infrastructure and should pay more for the military expenditures that protect their business interests. My tax rate is higher than these billionaires - that's fucked!

Not sure what the big deal is - take 10% yearly of Bezos fortune or 10B - that still leaves him with 100 Billion dollars. He'll make that 10B back and then some easily. Not sure why dotards want to continue to allow these elitists to stack the deck against them. It's mind blowing how stupid some people are.

Yep, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are all under attack to pay for the tax cuts.

That's not government debt, that's debt taken on voluntarily by individual citizens.

Some debt, like a mortgage or a student loan, is not necessarily bad debt -- it's an investment that generally pays positive returns in the future.

A lot of other debt is just dumb debt, and it makes me wonder if people with that kind of debt should be required to take a financial literacy class before they're allowed to vote.

Government certainly hasn't led by example on debt since the Reagan years, but if consumers claim to have better discipline, they really ought to show it.

Exactly. Since we have started giving the uber wealthly tax cuts that they do not need and are inherently unfair - there has been no finish. The deck is now stacked against you, and you helped them load it. Good job...
