"Grenell's appointment has done little to alleviate concerns that Trump is trying to bring the intelligence community even further under his control.

"Obviously he's not there to lead the intelligence community," former director of national intelligence James Clapper said of Grenell. "He's there, I believe, for two purposes: a purge and to get 'control,' and I use air quotes here, of the intelligence community."

"We have an enemy of the United States that is conducting information warfare against us and our executive leadership doesn't want to hear it, doesn't want the Congress to hear it, and doesn't want the people to hear it," said former acting DNI David Gompert, who said he was "aghast" at the hiring of Grenell. "We now have a situation where the principal objective, evidently, of this acting DNI is to ensure that information about Russian interference and Russian preference for this particular president does not get out."

This is good shit. The fired, disgraced, heads of the intelligence agencies are mad that they don't approve of their replacements. Clapper should have been tried for lying under oath and should be in a cell next to Roger Stone for a few years.

The intelligent have been replaced with the loyal. The intelligence has been suppressed and the threat is not being acknowledged or addressed. You are deluding yourself again. This is not good. This is not progress and this does not make us great or safe.

You are right, JB. I am counting on Grenell removing the old progs from the community. That will substantially raise the collective IQ. Things will be better soon.

I'm sure the decline is not lost on our enemies.

Clapper, Brennan, McCabe, Comey, Strzok, etc were all giant hunks of shit and we are all better off for them finally being flushed. It is blatantly obvious by what has come out so far that our intelligence agencies were running amuck by idiot bureaucrats.

Sniper gulping down the propaganda. Comey delivers the obese golfer in chief the Presidency and Sniper still hating on him. How's that for loyalty?

Further proof that Comey sucked at his job and deserved to be fired. The press conference he held in July of 2016. WTF was that all about? It wasn't his job. Regardless of whether you are a Democrat or Republican, it should have been fairly obvious that Comey sucked at his job.

Brennan should have never been in his position either. Brennan got there because he allowed George Tennant to rest his balls on his chin and was a skilled boot-licker. John Kiriakou was the whistleblower who exposed the CIA's black-site and waterboarding program. After the investigation into him had closed, John Brennan ordered that it be reopened.

In discovery, a memo was found from John Brennan to the Justice Department saying 'Charge him with espionage.' The Justice Department wrote back 'He hasn't committed espionage.' Brennan's response was 'Charge him with espionage anyway and make him defend himself.'

These guys all have a history of doing shady shit. I'm not 100% confident that the Durham investigation will bring criminal charges for what some of them have done but the fact that it is taking so long makes me a bit more optimistic. They have ruined a lot of lives with their Stalinist tactics. They have a history of charging people with crimes, bankrupting the people as they paid to defend themselves, and then sending innocent people to prison.

The Republican appointed heads of the agencies sucked and should have been fired, but the new Republican appointees are much better. Gotta love Trump fanboy logic. lol

I guess that depends on what you are basing your assessment of him on. If you care about who he slept with a decade ago, his hairstyle, skin tone, whether you find him sexually attractive or not, clothes, his accent, the furniture in his house, etc you might have a different impression than those who base their impression of him on economic results, employment stats, foreign policy, etc...or you might just have been born with a disproportionate amount of estrogen in your body.

I seriously doubt I would enjoy spending time with Trump. That's okay. He was hired to do a job. He's doing the job. If I call animal control to get a gator out of my backyard, I'm not going to call the guy animal control sends out an asshole if I don't like his clothes or his hair. I care whether or not he does the f'ing job.

Yeah, I care about character.

His foreign policy is shit; his tax cuts are a failure - economy is/was doing well thx to Obama. But ongoing lowering of FED rates and QE is not a good sign.

We are going bankrupt now with record budget deficits and record debt. Obama lowered employment at a much faster rate, and you call him a failure, so therefore trump is even more of a failure.

Comparing jobs vs. annual budget deficit

Reagan: 15M jobs
$79B to $159B

Bush: 2M jobs
$153B to $255B

Clinton: 23M jobs
$255B to $128B surplus

Bush 1.5M jobs
$128B surplus to $1T debt

Obama 12M jobs
1.16T to $585B

Trump 5M jobs
$585B to $1.1T

We were told tax cuts would lead to 3-4% GDP - still have not cracked 3% and the trend is down. We were told tax cuts would avg 4k year pay increase, it resulted in 400/year.

But go team! Epic failure dotards...

His foreign policy is shit? Where is ISIS these days? Have you heard about all the trade deals he has re-written? What about the manufacturing jobs that he has brought back from overseas. I guess you will say that those manufacturing jobs only benefit the 1%.

During Obama's term we saw GDP of -3%. There was nowhere to go but up. And just what would you like to see our GDP at? You shooting for 15-20%? You might want to look into how inflation works before you ask for growth at a rate of higher than 3-4%. At that rate you are getting into the danger zone for asset bubbles and inflation.

Huh? Sniper verging on the "yer either for us or aginst us" logic. Twitler is a douche of a half man and he proves it daily with his gloating over an election three years ago, using a sharpie to add AL to a NOAA map, refusing to release any information to a House investigation, or talking $hit on his twitter account (covfefe) to American citizens like he's still in third grade.

Is that what sniper and his type elected twitler to do, just be a general a$$? I think they wanted their taxes cut and they got that. Not many of them really talking about their "savings" in real terms. Mine went from an effective rate of 15.4% to 14.5% so whoop dee do! That's not worth electing a racist buffoon.

Trump gave Syria to Russia. Kim Jong is more powerful than ever. Manufacturing jobs are beginning to drop and other than a rebranding of NAFTA, his trade deals are what exactly? Tariffs with China and $25 billion to American farmers? The EU is out largest trading partner and Trump treats them like shit.

Trump, a rousing success?
