Anyone paying attention to this? Trump admin trying to force the government into a deal with the Taliban so he can pull out. It's the 1980s all over again, Taliban will rule Afghanistan again in 2022. How many kids died over there for nothing?

Trump promised the release of up to 5,000 Taliban combatants. The only problem is the fact that they are being held by the Afghan government and Trump hasn't included the Afghan government in the negotiations.

I do get a chuckle when I think back at Trump trying to hold a secret meeting with the Taliban two days before the anniversary of 9/11. What a fucking bonehead.

LOL, thanks guys, but I can't say it was hard to see what was going to happen. Funny thing is that trump got the ball rolling (withdrawal), and now Biden will end up owning the "lost" war.

We should never have been there, stayed way too long, and there really was no way to avoid the Taliban regaining control. I suppose they all thought the Afghan government might not fold in record time.

Sad thing is Americans died there for nothing.
