Unfortunately, most of his way forward sucks ass, and was viewed as a way backward by too many.

Couple that with Hillary's comments on Bernie's record in congress. He couldn't get anything done there, and if elected Prez, he'd have to do everything by executive order.

Enough of that and you'll see a real revolution -- the kind where people actually show up.

He had some reasonable ideals (distinct from ideas) that had a chance to gradually evolve in the marketplace, but it was too much too soon. He would have wrecked the boat in ways even Trump couldn't accomplish. Next candidate, next election, and maybe your candidate will learn from the mistakes of 2020 and 2016.

Capitalism is literally in freefall and there's a raging pandemic, and you guys are like "whoa let's not get carried away with a national healthcare system and bold action to avert climate disaster..."

Bernie has been fighting an uphill battle for 50 years against the elite money interests in this country, most of the time single handedly. He was getting arrested in the street fighting for civil rights while Joe was glad handing segregationists.

Vote for him if you like, it's irrelevant.

I voted Libertarian last time, against both Trump and Hillary, for many reasons, which most of you seem unable to comprehend.

Nonetheless, in November, I will vote for Trump if Bernie is on the Dem ticket.

If Biden is on the ticket, and chooses a sane, centrist running mate who is somewhat qualified to take over when Biden falls asleep, that ticket will get my vote.

If Biden chooses a wacko, then I'm looking third-party again.

At this point, voters in both major parties ought to just say, "F*ck it -- maybe we can actually get along" and vote to oppose both.

It's not too late to foster support for a write-in candidate. Between "We the People" and the internet, this is something we have both the right and the power to make happen.

Suppose someone proposed a ticket with two adults, like John Kasich and Andrew Cuomo (assuming you could get each of them to agree to do something that flies in the face of the parties that brought them to their respective dance), and mounted a write-in campaign.

I know it's as much of a dream as Rusty's wet dream about Bernie, but it would at least pull in the center of the bell curve instead of just one extremist tail. Rusty and I share the same disappointment in our fellow man: too f*cking sheepish to organize and make it happen.

Everybody wants to have somebody else do it for them, and then complain about the result when it isn't perfect. Our founders wanted us to be more involved than this!!!
