I'll give a pass to State and Local Government's mistakes in virus responses back in Jan. through March. Fed Gov't is obviously a lost cause long ago. However, this recent resurgence was predicted and totally preventable. And our State and Local Governments continue doing nothing about this. If they're not gonna mandate closures of businesses, beaches, and parks, yielding social distancing by default, which worked in preventing spread; at least require masks in essential businesses. Commissioner Bryan Lober has done some crazy things, but at least he has the sense to understand that mask wearing in indoor public places must be mandated. Government and businesses claiming no need for mask requirements, because people should be left to their own devices to "do the right thing," are ignoring real time empirical evidence, proving the contrary. I can't recall any other instance of this level of negligence in our government.

Yeah- let's give credit where credit is due, especially in Florida.

At *least* 50% of the people out there are dotards wearing no mask in cramped places like convenience stores, etc.

That's just the general public spots- look at dotard hotspots and it's a cesspool of spit swappin.

Sure these knuckleheads do this because they are being fed bad information from senior dotards up top, but you still have to be a dotard to listen to those dumbasses to begin with, so..

enjoy your bed

dotards

LOL

Of course personal responsibility is needed, similar to any behavior that can be damaging. When personal responsibility or accountability is still not fixing the problem, which is obvious right now, then the government has to do something, increasing the likelihood of improved behavior aimed at reducing spread. That means closing down everything non-essential, (seemed to work before) and mandating masks in public indoor spaces, since this is pretty much out of control. Certain commissioners' & Desantis' argument against mask orders, because they are hard to enforce, or people should be trusted to do the right thing, is absurd. Earth to Government: people were and continue to not do the right thing. Under their theory, there should be no laws against speeding, drunk driving, rape, murder etc., since the government is unable to fully enforce those laws. Does that mean that we should eliminate laws prohibiting such acts? Real and effective leaders admit when they've made a mistake, and take quick corrective action. Wake the F up commissioners, mayors, and City Counsel men and women, and do something meaningful to try to lessen the spread. Mere recommendations, guidance, and expectations is obviously not working.
