People are taking this more seriously than I originally predicted. Cocoa Beach was relatively quiet yesterday and a bunch of the stores have gone back to curb-side only.

I think that many are realizing the numbers and the narrative from State and Fed gov't leaders aren't aligning. So, they are following the advice of the health experts.

I've said this before, it is interesting that our military leaders are taking this very seriously and have strict directives in place for our DoD personnel. Their directives and the Cheato's words do not align. It's like the DoD spread the word not to inform the prez and his clowns because they do and say stupid shit.

The percentage of infected is exploding and the state quit reporting hospital numbers, as well the death count. That trifecta should perk up the ears of every sane person in the state.

Cole!!!!!

Your ", , , , ears of every sane person in the state" comment is perhaps Very valid but, you hopefully do know that your statement is falling upon deaf ears.

I think that I may begin hoarding toilet paper again soon.

About 75% masks at Publix yesterday, but i still had to direct an uncovered mouth to step away from me in the checkout line.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

REAL FLORIDA DATA DASHBOARD:

You can drill down by county (upper right pulldown menu) - and see available ICU beds in each county

This is the real data, not "DeSantis Data"

That's why I added the word should. We most certainly have our share of idiots and morons.

And, on the Far End, I know a few people who believe that all this "COVID-19" stuff is a conspiracy and, as such, COVID is just a normal flu!!

"All intensive care unit (ICU) beds are currently occupied at four hospitals in Pinellas County, Florida, as the state continues to see a record spike in new cases and hospitalizations related to the novel coronavirus."

When/if more hospitals max out their ICU capacity Mr. DeSantis may have to think about the UNTHINKABLE, , , , , Mandatory Masks ?? !! ?? Another Full Stay At Home Order !! ?? !! ?? Take your pick.

Sure, perhaps the number of people dying is holding +- steady but, even back on June 19th DeSantis said that the median age of a "positive test" had gone down to 37, and a week later he said "that median age is plunging even further". So, in a week-or-two we may find that a Very High portion of the patients in the ICUs is "Thirty Somethings" and younger?? What then?

Perhaps Full On Ape Shit Mode will be in effect by the end of July?

The deaths aren't being reported, so we really have no idea.

The worrisome thing here is that this is happening in the middle of Summer.

That hints at a freaking COVID Tsunami come Fall due to lax precaution and general ill-preparedness.

If Brevard County only had 40 ICU beds open in early July- what kind of shitstorm are we in for in October-December?

Masks and social distancing and our economy would be fine.

Trump and Desantis are terrible leaders.

Sunday AM bike ride, past the gun show at Melbourne Auditorium, folks standing in line to get in. Only masks I saw were on the employees. No six foot spacing in the line either.

I bet a good percentage of them were obese and had diabetes.

Just people. 100% wearing masks when I had the cat at the vet, about 90-95% at Publix, maybe 70 - 80% at the hardware store. That's why the line stood out to me.

My bubble is pretty small currently but my observations are the same.
Publix and Aldi's about 90% and Home Depot/Ace hardware a little less but still most are wearing masks and are considerate with social distancing as much as possible.

Doc office 100% by their own requirement.
Oneblood blood bank was also 100%.
