Very true, prog and commie. So what are the plans of the senile senior to end this sort of thing? Spend Trillions on his "second great railroad revolution"? Or maybe billions on the "second coming of the Pony Express?'

That can be said about almost any handout -- private, commercial, or government -- including health care and education.

There's also an adage that applies to parenting as well as big-dollar sales: When people get something for free, that's the value they tend to attach to it. When they have to invest more time, work, and money into acquiring something, they tend to value it, appreciate it, and take better care of it.

There's a solution to every American issue: more tax cuts!
For the banks, churches and multinationals, more, more more.
The guy who came up with the wholesale plunder of American resources to benefit them, David stockman: has repeatedly called bullshit on it

The so called conservatives have been saying this about free pre school, aid to families with dependent children and health care. Billions upon billions to farmers to carry on an easy trade war and buying the farmers vote? It's the same accusation the GOP has made for decades about the Democratic Party creating a Poverty class that will vote Democrat because they get the handouts from them. The double standard for the same thing was the point.

It doesn't trickle down anywhere.
Except into deep corrupt pockets.

Tax on equity transactions, 2K UBI and let the rest sort itself out.

Waste? Not at all.

Green energy is well underway, your "great America" of coal and leaded gas is long gone.

I'd rather see billions to farmers, than trillions flushed down the toilet on something that can't work. Trains? Even California gave up on that. If those nincompoops gave up on something, you know it was a fraud.

They are expensive, but worth the effort when completed. The rest of the first world uses them with great results, but then again, the US might not actually be first world anymore.

Farmers are getting fat on government money, there was a time when Republicans would have resisted this big government action.

hey that idiot tspank found something to focus on his sober attention span (lasting until 12?) while his orange man crush displays daily what an ignorant POS he is. Trains?

What we should be doing is developing alternative energy sources while undermining the oil producers (which we are probably trying anyway to support our oil producers).

Yeah the economics of saving the planet is tough for a dotard. Tspank's edumacation never included ROI training or anything empathetic to society. He's a "lawyer" you see. Scum.

But the business of saving the world can be quite lucrative, investment, development, and sales to a hungry planet. And of course there's the saving the planet and making it nice for future humans and such.

Exactly Greenie, Tmoron went from a climate denier to saying it's too late to do anything.

Old and dumb is no way to go through life, especially when you aren't even in your 60's.
