Recently, the council took more than $1 million from the police budget to hire "violence interrupters" to intervene and defuse potentially violent confrontations.

The Minneapolis police budget is $193 MILLION. I'd say 0.5% of the budget to go toward de-escalation is abysmally small.
They are showing the world that if you attempt to hold police accountable, they will refuse to do their jobs. It's a good thing doctors, nurses, and airline pilots aren't so irresponsible. I'd fire the lot of them. For the Dumbass--The unemployment rate in the US is seen falling to 9.8 percent in August of 2020 from 10.2 percent in July, which would mark the 4th straight decline after hitting 14.7 percent in April.
