The whole steroid thing is real though. Mrs Dingpatch (Jan) would easily get "Steroid Rage". One morning here at home she woke up and the whole left side of her face was puffed up big time. No discoloration or such but, her left eye was closed and the left side of her mouth was swollen. So, we went to the Emergency Department. They decided to "keep her overnight" to have time to figure it out, etc. When she got to her room, one of the Doctors started talking about giving her steroids to decrease the swelling. I told him "No way, she'll have a "reaction". He spoke to me in a "don't worry your pretty little head" kind of way and I eventually had to leave. Melbourne PD called me later that afternoon. Sure enough, the Doctor had shot Jan up with a strong steroid. Yep, she Went Off, big time. When I got there she was asleep. They had given her a strong sedative. The nurse told me all about it. Jan started to become more-and-more agitated and became unmanageable. Hospital Security was called. Jan sent two of the Security types to the ER!! The nurse told me that she was very impressed with Jan's technique and efficiency. I told the nurse about Jan's military/agency training. Jan's medical records were updated with "Steroid Rage"!!
