The journey a murderer can take, the growth, the development and the peace is not inevitable. But it is possible. That's surprising. ------------------------- "One of the reasons why propaganda tries to get you to hate government is because it's the one existing institution in which people can participate to some extent and constrain tyrannical unaccountable power." I'm not sure I have to strength to forgive in this situation. That takes a very big man.

Yes johnnyboy and Cole the power of forgiveness. I forgive but I have not been faced with a wrong so great that I would have to consider what to do. What johnny presents here is indeed the ultimate test.

It's got to be the hardest thing one has ever done. I too have been in the car listening storycorp wiping my eyes and wondering if I had the courage to forgive or just the anger. There is no right answer but this feels more right if that makes sense.

I don't think I'm up to that. I might spare his life, but forgive and tolerate in proximity would be too much.
------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

What's done is done. If you can salvage one life from it, why not. That said, I am not sure what I'd do either.

It's good to have guidance from real people who have actually lived it and lived through it.
