I'm wondering, are these Republicans just snowflakes or have white supremacists elevated themselves to a higher power?

She said she disapproves of guidance for teachers to teach words like "injustice," "unequal," "inequality," "protest," "marching" and "segregation" in grammar lessons.
The district had to apply for a waiver to use "Wit & Wisdom" with K-2 students second graders who spend weeks on the book it is meant to challenge students to read at a higher level than was expected of their grade level in the past. So the reading is NOT meant for grade 2 They had to apply for a waiver to teach it to Grade 2 it guides teachers to use politically charged words in lessons to 2nd graders and their defense of it is that it forces kids to read above their grade level... And that somehow makes the parents white supremacist's?? You keep using those words, I do not think those words mean what you think they mean. ------------------------- |

Qotards woefully unprepared to reason within the framework they are given by their lords and masters. See nobodyelse's convoluted twisting to justify censorship/dumbing down of our teaching.
Qotards dislike education plain and simple. |

This is like promoting holocaust denial because it might make Germans feel bad.
I saw one of those "Moms for Liberty" stickers on a car yesterday. I think it was Tina Descovich, still mad she lost the School Board election. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

Yeah, politically charged words like "injustice," "unequal," "inequality," "protest," "marching" and "segregation" have no place in USA classrooms.

And can't have 2nd graders reading the biography of a 1st grader, because as Moms for Liberty, Steenman said that the mention of a "large crowd of angry white people who didn't want Black children in a white school" too harshly delineated between Black and white people, and that the book didn't offer "redemption" at its end.
That might make white kids feel bad, especially if their parents are racist assholes. |

She said she disapproves of guidance for teachers to teach words like "injustice," "unequal," "inequality," "protest," "marching" and "segregation" in grammar lessons. Teaching the definition of a word is a problem? Fucking dingbats. I can see them perhaps wanting to avoid the term "injustice" and the like to describe something in a *history lesson* because it is subjective and can be subject to personal bias by the instructor. Whatever. Quite honestly, it is something an average kid is going to see for themselves anyways unless they were raised in the Klan. Even still, they shouldn't have any grounds to whine about "protest". "marching", and "segregation" regardless of the context, even if in a history lesson. As far as grammar goes, what the fuck is wrong with teaching kids the definition of a word. Idiots. |

That might make white kids feel bad, especially if their parents are racist assholes. As sensitive as teachers need to be these days with pronouns, phrasing, and trigger words, I believe the general goal is to not make any child feel bad about the color of their skin or the situation of their birth. That applies to all children, including white ones. |

HAHAHA has to use the strawman argument because his grasp on the issue is so weak. have NO PLACE IN USA CLASSROOMs 2ND GRADE CLASSROOMS dumbass, the curriculum was designed for older students. THEY HAD TO GET A WAIVER dumbass, to teach it to grade 2 students They teachers had other grade appropriate words in the lesson plans Dumbass, and They had to 'GUIDE THE TEACHER' into using these specific words. ------------------------- |

riddle me: I believe the general goal is to not make any child feel bad about the color of their skin or the situation of their birth. That applies to all children, including white ones.
I think you are way wrong on this, the goal is to do the exact opposite, It is to make white kids embarrassed and shamed about their race, It is to punish White parents for perceptions of racism. It is to indoctrinate kids into hating their parents and trusting the state. The goal is for kids to report their parents to their teachers and state officers when the parents views don't match up with the indoctrination. Every socialist and communist state divides the children from their parents and has the children indoctrinated into state dogma. it is a very short step for a teacher and the state to say 'it's not safe for little suzy at home, her parents are white supremist and we need to protect her from their influence' everything in these programs are designed to eliminate parental control of their children's education, even if it destroys the child to do so. they are fine with doing this, after all these are children of racists and they want to destroy racism so the child has to be indoctrinated or destroyed. If you want to protect your child... YOU ARE RACIST... all the more reasons to indoctrinate your children... ------------------------- |

3rd: And can't have 2nd graders reading the biography of a 1st grader,
The 'BIOGRAPHY' was written by a 55 year old woman, 49 years after the actual event. A 55 year old womans memories of her 1st grade experience could be clouded by 49 years of life, and may contain a lot more adult introspective of the events than a 2ND GRADER should be exposed to. ------------------------- |

This is like promoting holocaust denial because it might make Germans feel bad. I saw one of those "Moms for Liberty" stickers on a car yesterday. I think it was Tina Descovich, still mad she lost the School Board election. At least when I went to grade school, they didn't teach the holocaust either. It was more, "See Spot run." As I said above, feel free to show your 4 and 5 y/o's pictures from Auschwitz. When they become accomplished psychopaths, I will be far from them. No one is teaching CRT to 4 and 5 year olds. It's a university level concept. But that won't stop the local white citizen's council from trying to whitewash history in public schools. I went to a fairly newly desegregated school, and racial disparities where in your face as a 5 year old straight away. Seems some white folk didn't take kindly to kids bussed across the bridge to join us island kids. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |
