Border Patrol union official warns COVID-positive migrants being released into US 'day in, day out'
More than 188,000 migrants were encountered at the southern border in June
By Adam Shaw

A top Border Patrol union official is warning that agents are having to release COVID-positive migrants into the U.S. "day in, day out" -- amid the ongoing crisis at the border, which also has Border Patrol agents worried about their own health.

"Not everyone we encounter we test, only those that exhibit some type of symptoms and not everybody has symptoms that has it," Chris Cabrera, a vice president of the National Border Patrol Council, said Saturday on "Fox News Live."

BORDER PATROL AGENTS IN RIO GRANDE VALLEY APPREHEND MORE THAN 800 MIGRANTS IN 24 HOURS

"And we're releasing people out of the door day in and day out with actual positive tests for COVID and more keep popping up," he said.

Cabrera also warned that his sector alone has seen 20,000 apprehension of migrants at the border, with 2-3,000 every day just in the area -- and that doesn't take into consideration those who are evading overwhelmed Border Patrol agents.

As a result, Cabrero warned that a number of agents have been quarantined or are sick with the virus

"We have a lot of agents quarantined right now, which adds to our problem, on top of agents who are sick with COVID, so we're concerned about catching it ourselves, we're concerned about our families and coworkers and it just seems everyone's turning a blind eye to it when we have a real situation down here," he said.

'Ludicrous' for Dems to talk immigration reform in spending bill: Rep. BiggsVideo
More than 188,000 migrants were encountered in June alone, taking the number of migrants encountered this fiscal year to more than a million. While more than 100,000 of those resulted in expulsions under Title 42 public health protections, the U.S. is releasing many migrants, including family units, into the U.S.

That has sparked anger from governors and local officials in states affected, who are concerned about the potential spread of COVID at a time when the Biden administration is warning about the effects of the delta variant.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered state troopers to pull over vehicles transporting migrants as a way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In turn, the Justice Department has sued Texas, having claimed the move was dangerous.

Meanwhile the Department of Homeland Security this week resumed flights to Central America for migrants who are deemed not to have a valid asylum case.

Cabrera, meanwhile, warned that Border Patrol agents are struggling with the crisis which shows only increases in numbers at the border each month.

"Manpower is very low, we're stretched very thin and it's difficult when the administration doesn't care what's going on down here," he said.

    1. You Conservitards despise unions, particularly unions within government organizations.

    2. You continually trivialize the Pandemic and do absolutely nothing to mitigate it's spread, i.e., get a vaccine or wear a mask, why do you care that the virus is allegedly being transmitted along the border?

Biden administration reinstates fast-track deportation flights

http://news.yahoo.com/biden-ad...-track-205519454.html

The rest of what FK said is easily proven wrong too; there is no secret busing, it is illegal for non citizens to get welfare, their schools were not paid for, they get no tax payer money - that's illegal and they are held if they test positive.

COLESLAW IS A FUCKING PATHOLOGICAL LIAR...THRU AND THRU!

FUCKING FACT!

Illegal immigrants right to education
Children have the legal right to public a K - 12 education regardless of immigration status due to the 1982 US Supreme Court ruling in Plyler v. Doe. After navigating through primary education, undocumented youth transition into an adulthood that does not grant them those provisions.

Immigrants can enroll in individual health plans during open enrollment period, just like any other lawfully present U.S. resident.
Lawfully present immigrants - including those in the U.S. temporarily on work or student visas - are eligible for premium subsidies.
There's a special enrollment period for new citizens and new lawfully present residents.
Recent immigrants with income below the poverty level are eligible for subsidies in the exchange.
Health plans (and subsidies) are available in the individual market for recent immigrants age 65+.
Undocumented immigrants cannot buy plans in the exchange, but some states provide coverage for some undocumented immigrant children and pregnant women.
When you apply for a plan in the exchange, you may need to prove your immigration status.
Short-term health plans are an alternative for recent immigrants who can't afford an ACA-compliant plan.
California abandoned its efforts to allow undocumented immigrants to buy full-price plans in the exchange, and New York legislation did not advance.
Trump administration's "public charge" rule and immigrant visa insurance requirements have both been reversed by the Biden administration.

AND OF COURSE THERE IS THE EVER POPULAR EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!!

"Undocumented people also often use emergency rooms for nonemergency care because they tend not to have a family doctor.

"When you ask them 'Where do you usually go for health care?' They say, 'Well, nowhere in particular,'" Wallace said. "So then when you have a need, or your baby has the flu and you're worried because she's getting dehydrated, where do you go? You don't have an established relationship with any provider, so you head off to the emergency room."

FUCK YOU COLESLAW!

Yep, there is one fact.

But that fact is actually BULLSHIT!

"According to a recent Kaiser Family Foundation analysis, undocumented immigrants are significantly more likely to be uninsured than U.S. citizens: 45% of undocumented immigrants are uninsured, versus about 8% of citizens.

So more than half of the undocumented immigrant population has some form of health insurance coverage. Kaiser Family Foundation's Larry Levitt noted via Twitter that "some are buying non-group, but I'd agree that it's primarily employer coverage." And in 2014, Los Angeles Times writer Lisa Zamosky explained the various options that undocumented immigrants in California were using to obtain coverage, including student health plans, employer-sponsored coverage, and individual (i.e., non-group) plans purchased off-exchange (on-exchange, enrollees are required to provide proof of legal immigration status).

Uninsured undocumented immigrants do have access to some healthcare services, regardless of their ability to pay. Federal law (EMTALA) requires Medicare-participating hospitals to provide screening and stabilization services for anyone who enters their emergency rooms, without regard for insurance or residency status.

Since emergency rooms are the most expensive setting for healthcare, local officials in many areas have opted for less expensive alternatives. Of the 25 U.S. counties with the largest number of undocumented immigrants, the Wall Street Journal reports that 20 have programs in place to fund primary and surgical care for low-income uninsured county residents, typically regardless of their immigration status."
