No, it works everywhere. You are targeting surface feeding fish because you found them feeding at the surface with radar. You don't find them feeding at 100 feet deep with no structure, that's just one of your many lies. Not to mention that if you are taking the time to get a bait 100 feet deep while the fish are feeding at the surface, you are going to miss a zillion fish; they will be long gone before you get anywhere near the school. So stop with your lies and your bullshit. You are a weekend warrior that understands the basics, but that's about it. Sure someone at your level might need extreme tackle to catch a few fish, but those of us who know how to do it can stick with the basics and still fill the box. BWAHAHAHAHA! Do people use it to see if there are fish under the boat when fighting fish? Of course, that's common knowledge, but to say you stop the boat and drop trolling baits down for fish going God knows what direction is a joke.... but then again, you are a joke so that's fitting.
