All three defendants in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

Another fairly obvious case. Didn't follow this one very closely, but based on what I do know, it is the right result.

Yes, once efforts by local racist officials to cover it up were thwarted; but still certain to disappoint some wanna-be vigilantes.

74 days passed before charges were even filed in the case.

I respect this verdict too.

I view this more as a case of Sundown Town hang them in the hanging tree than I do vigilantism. These guy went out to kill them a black man, plain and simple.

I'm disappointed that racism is ingrained into the system such that local officials tried to cover up this murder.

If institutional racism wasn't part of the American experience, these three peckerwoods would have been arrested immediately.

But let's pretend it's not true so white people don't feel uncomfortable.

Not only that, but it permeates the department and probably much more...

'Represents That Entire Department': Sheriff Moves to Fire Georgia Deputy Who Commented Online That Ahmaud Arbery 'Still Got the Death Penalty'

Houston County Deputy Paul Urhahn commented on the Macon outlet's Facebook post about the recent sentencing of Arbery's killers, Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael, and William Bryan. The deputy replied, "That criminal arbery still got the death penalty though."

This deputy thought it was appropriate to post this comment PUBLICLY and thought there would be no consequences.

It's in the very fabric of policing. Black Lives Matter is a very real thing.
