Biden repeats debunked claim he 'used to drive a tractor-trailer'
'I know a little bit about big trucks,' the president said
By Jessica Chasmar | Fox News

President Biden declared Tuesday during an event in Minnesota that he "used to drive" a tractor-trailer - a claim the White House has struggled to defend in the past.

Biden repeated the debunked claim during a trip to Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minnesota, to tout the newly passed bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

BIDEN RAISES EYEBROWS WITH CLAIM HE 'USED TO DRIVE' 18-WHEELER TRUCK

"I used to drive a tractor-trailer," Biden said. "I know a little bit about big trucks."

Biden's claim was debunked earlier this year after the president said at a Mack Truck facility in Pennsylvania that he "used to drive an 18-wheeler."

When asked at the time if the president had ever driven such a truck, a White House spokesperson pointed to a December 1973 article from the Wilmington Evening Journal that showed Biden rode in an 18-wheeler on a 536-mile haul to Ohio.

Fox News pressed the spokesperson at the time about the president's claim - noting that riding in a truck is not the same as driving one - at which point the president's spokesperson pointed to a United Federation of Teachers post that touched on Biden once driving a school bus for a summer job.

The majority of school buses, on average, "have two axles, with the bigger models having two wheels on the front axle and four wheels on the dual axle, for a total of six wheels," according to SchoolBusFleet.com.

The truck story is just one of many tales Biden has embellished over the years. Last month, he said his house burned down with his wife Jill Biden inside before he tried to correct himself to say a "significant portion" of the home burned.

A 2004 report from The Associated Press, however, said it was a "small" fire caused by a lightning strike that was contained to only the kitchen.

You know what? While Joe may not have really driven a big rig, he did loosen the logjam of containers on the West Coast.

And, when Biden was lamenting about his house on fire, the former president and Dotard himself was crashing companies and bankrupting every business he touched.

T'rump didn't even spin a yarn or stretch a truth when he flat out lied that he didn't have Covid prior to the debate.

Your demigod and false idol, T'rump, has been bunked and debunked tens of thousands of times.

Cargo jam at L.A. and Long Beach ports begins to ease as hefty fines loom

In mid-October, when the White House announced it was wading into the logistics logjam at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles in a bid to unclog the supply chain before Christmas, 58 container ships were waiting offshore.

I don't know and the number of ships in queue is less important than the movement of the containers on the quay.

Empty containers are moving and freight is moving. The Navy is opening up deep water facilities.

The situation is better than 2 moths ago as you incorrectly stated.

You commie demoshits are always LYING while playing a numbers game. If you want the citizens of America to THINK that the problem is getting better...JUST MOVE THE SHIPS OUT OF THE COUNTING ZONE!

PROBLEM SOLVED?

FUCK NO!

"The number of container ships at anchor or loitering within 40 miles of the ports has indeed diminished. The reason: Since mid-November, a new queuing system has encouraged ships to wait outside of a specially designated Safety and Air Quality Area (SAQA) that extends 150 miles to the west of the ports and 50 miles to the north and south.

The overall queue, including container ships both inside and outside the SAQA, has not diminished. It reached a new milestone on Tuesday. For the first time, there were more container ships waiting outside the SAQA than inside the ports' 40-mile zone.

According to the Marine Exchange of Southern California, there were 44 container ships waiting within the 40-mile zone as of midday Tuesday. Based on Marine Exchange data, American Shipper estimates that there were 50 container ships waiting outside the SAQA.

The total - 94 - was just shy of Monday's all-time record of 96 (including ships outside the SAQA), and up 27% from the count on Oct. 25, the day the excess-dwell penalty plan was announced by Seroka and Cordero."
