It's very trumpish to demand "freedom" to refuse vaccination against a communicable disease, then howl when you're denied access to areas where vaccination is a requirment.

Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand.

No shirts, no shoes, no shots, no service.

Looks like the fact the vaccine doesn't do shit to stop infection or spreading the disease is STILL completely lost on you.

So again, if your masked up and stabbed up....why do you care? WHERE IS THE LOGIC?

It is effective at preventing hospitalizations and does hinder the spread of the virus really well.

Deaths and hospitalizations from covid to those that are vaccinated have nearly flatlined whereas those unvaccinated have risen.

"COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting people from COVID-19 and help keep adults and children from getting seriously sick. COVID-19 vaccines can reduce the risk of people spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Getting everyone ages 5 years and older vaccinated can help the entire family, including siblings who are not eligible for vaccination and family members who may be at risk of getting very sick if they are infected."

Um.....OK.....so once again...if you're vaccinated....why do you care so much if I'm not?

Well a few people obviously don't pay attention to the surfing forums. I wonder why that is. Anyhow, I will say it again:

It is pretty easy, Australia has their own rules. You either play by them or accept the results of not doing so. Kelly is a grown ass man that made a choice for himself and I respect that. However, as a grown ass man, he has to deal with the consequences of his decisions.

This is where your misunderstanding is. I don't care personally if you're vaxxed. but the people in our government are making rules "for the People" And "The People" are better off if everyone is vaxxed. I understand there is a group out there who doesn't believe in "Government of The People, By The People and For The People" and would just do away with elections and let trump make all the rules. Lucky they're not in charge.

Private businesses and entities should have the right to specify whatever policy they want on their property and when engaging in-person with their business.

Government should be allowed to set the policies when on government property or receiving a government-subsidized service.

The gray areas start to show cracks, for example, when you call 911 and expect an ambulance crew to treat and transport you.

Private medical insurers should be allowed to add a high-risk surcharge for non-vaccinated status (fine-grained: based on previous exposure, antibody status, number of shots & boosters), as well as many other good-faith, controllable health factors (like smoking).

There's no point to address beyond the fact that Australia gets to make Australian rules. Discussion ended.

I would add to that: If we're going all-out in the US-of-A on mandatory vaccinations, it's not unreasonable for us to expect illegal immigrants to have proof of positive immunization status.
