Is 'taking the 5th' allowed in a GA grand? grands in other states perhaps?
NY etc etc
If so, can/will this 'evidence be 'useful' - 'elsewhere'? Could this be a 'way' for other states to get 'useful' info? Isn't 'Lying', lying everywhere, anywhere - regardless.. Councilor?

I have said this before so forgive me if I am being repetitive. The FBI will not ask a question that they dont know the answer too. When they ask questions of "subjects," its not to get information, its too see if they lie. When a subject becomes a target, the next escalation in their investigation, they call them and advise them to bring their lawyer. Their lawyer usually reads the tea leaves and then tries to figure out who is already cooperating and who has immunity or plea offers. That is usually extremely hard to do since no one advertises that they are doing that so experience and friendships matter a lot. A good AUSA will say everything by saying very little. Its essentially "the train has left the station" or he better decide by next week. If the target decides to go trial, he will go up against unlimited resources, a series of superseding indictments that increase exposure with every other target that flipped and a lead agent that sits with the AUSA prosecutor during trial and fills in all the holes the defense made, sometimes even investigating inferences and shutting them down during trial.
Rudy can cut a deal but my guess is that Rudy, a former US attorney himself, knows this dance better than anyone and still can't believe that he is about to jump into the meat grinder. I'm speculating that the bus has not left but its leaving next week. Does a 78 old disgraced man "cooperate" and complete his humiliating downfall to avoid prison, does he fight it and drag it out so long he hopes to either die or get pardoned or does he gush and tell all? I think Rudy is too far down this road to exit and I think he fights it, plays victim and politics, not necessarily in that order. 5th only works for 'self incrimination', not 'squealing', or 'ratting'.. Can't just stay 'silent' without paying a price..
Grands are typically very private/secret affairs, & only recommend that charges be filed, or not.. The jury members get to ask the questions, not the DA (but I think he can 'help' - on the sidelines).. The accused is not present, has any representation, or even sees the evidence (till it's 'officially presented' - That's all for later when the DA files, and they go to (public) court... It's all about not having to rat out massa - in public when it comes to open public trial time.. Taking the 5th is not the same or an option, unless they are 'admitting guilt' - and opens the gates on them.. Taa daa.. Choices choices.. 'Devil'? or 'deep blue sea'.. When's elections again? The sackless Ms linsey up soon? (originally posted similar to the above on the wrong thread..)

Still really skeptical if the 'powers that be' will want to openly admit, and prove, on the word stage exactly how much we as a country have been had... But 'doing nothing' will make us even look weaker and corrupt on the world stage as is..
Merritt Garland and the DOJ are prob reluctant to even get on the starting blocks... Before the trigger is even pulled 'the squeal - part 2', will start in earnest.. "just a politically motivated kangaroo court" etc - be ready for it... Def 'In between a Rock and a hard place' but justice must prevail and a clear message sent so that there will be no more even similar 'repeat performances' - ever... Sure that they are also worried that there will be major 'social unrest' - riots, 'protests' etc, by the proud boys, oath keepers and other minions even before a public trials begin.. 'progresses' .. and 'ends'... The country needs to be very aware of all of the facts with clear proof 'before hand' so that if/when anything shit starts, everyone (else) knows he's 100% guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, and anyone squealing on his behalf is just as guilty, if not more so, of treason - and be given 'no quarter'.. Seems to me that the 1/6 committee are def on the right track so far.. Since it obvious that the 'faithful' will never ever believe, only makes it more important that the 'rest' need to be 'well informed' - in advance. the only way this BS will stop is to make a very public example to all others not to walk down this path again ... Not sure that some even know the meaning of the word 'shame', and have no probs being 'wrong and strong'.. ?Shoe on the other foot? If little or nothing is done, and no one pays a significant enough price, this will be a signal to do it again and facists et al will only get more emboldened... how Germany started it's decline in the 30's..
