...but what happens to the right to abortion when more Republicans get elected?

Most have pushed for a total ban at all levels of government, but have gone silent due to the current bad press for Republicans on the subject. Does their silence mean they have softened on the ban or are they just biding their time until they take more power?

More than likely the smarter GOP will quietly back away from the issue after seeing what happened in Kansas.

I think they will stay "pro life" in rhetoric, but in private they will try to wash their hands of it.

Name one state with any legislature currently on the books, or has been passed, that has this "total ban of abortion on all levels of government" you speak of.
And before you once again make a fool out of yourself, I recommend you actually read the legislation and not rely on biased reports of said legislation.

I'll wait.....

As per all levels of government; I am saying local, state and federal. Show me one pro-choice Republican at any level before you blab it up again.

Cole, serious question, how do you not see how you are being played by the very examples you just listed?

Let me help you out....your first example from the politico...the head line reads: "Florida Republicans open to total ban on abortions" Yet, the very first two paragraphs completely contradict themselves.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida Republican leaders are signaling they're open to a complete ban on abortions next year if the Supreme Court overturns the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. Incoming state Senate and House leaders this week told POLITICO they aren't immediately ready to pursue a strict ban on abortions but will follow the will of the GOP-led Legislature, which already voted to ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. That ban is the strictest in state history.

Where are they getting their information from? And by the way, still no "total ban" that you speak of and if the mother's life is in any jeopardy, the 15 week limit is nulled.

Your second example, if you take the time to read the legislation being reference (instead of relying on biased reporting of it) you'll quickly see there is no total ban....just limits imposed with restrictions. Because, believe it or not, there are a lot of people that don't want to murder an innocent child unless there is absolute cause. Seems like you guys are fucking sick in the head, and don't care.

I love how you edit to your tastes. lol

Barnaby said in an interview that he believes a bill banning all abortions in Florida has the votes necessary to be approved by the full House, though he had few details about what exactly the measure would do, such as whether there would be exemptions for victims of rape.

"We now have the political will to get things done that nine months ago we may not have gotten done," Barnaby said. "And I believe that we now have the will and we have the votes in the House to pass legislation that will ban abortion in the great state of Florida for life."

Sorry Opie, but the intentions are clear. Like I said, show me one pro-choice Republican.

I forget the caliber or stupidity I'm dealing with here.

First off, no edit...direct copy and paste

2nd, you are screaming "They're going to take away are rights to kill our child" yet even in the examples you state, there is NOTHING MENTIONED about the current exemptions in place.

Most, if not all, allow for abortion up to a certain point and/or allow for exceptions such as rape, or medical need. Maybe instead of spending so much time on here being a puppet for the establishment, instead spend your time on the internet educating yourself by reading the actual legislation in lieu of relying on biased "news" that keeps you comfy inside your bubble.

Yes, and you think the 50 year fight against abortion was for state's rights. That makes you delusional.

No, they want abortion gone. That is and always has been the point. The current change in tune has all to do with political survival and nothing to do with keeping abortion legal.

Just now figuring that out? To your credit, it only took you fifty years. That is light speed for a brain like yours.

Unpopular positions on the part of GOP politicians is the best hope Dems have in the next two years.

Sure, make women give birth to dead babies, and threaten to arrest doctors and nurses. Voters love that shit.

On the contrary, they love to be lied to. That's the only explanation for voting.

The qop are def are playing a 'shell hiding game' regarding their true long term intentions knowing fully well the potential fallout come election time.. The leopa rd has not changed it's spots one iota.

As proof positive, one need to look no further that their with the recent performance with their bought and paid for scrotus appointments and 'abortion' rulings, as well as other red button issues (voters rights etc etc)

Just answer the question, if you can, Opie.

2nd, you are screaming "They're going to take away are rights to kill our child" Stop the lies. Now. Biologically speaking, it's still a fetus from 26 weeks or younger. It's only a child when it is outside the woman's body.
You know: the same time when Regressives don't want anything to do with that LIFE.

Most, if not all, allow for abortion up to a certain point and/or allow for exceptions such as rape, or medical need. Really? Show us which states allow abortion, and those that ban it, and those that allow exceptions and what those exemptions are.

Awe, look at the sheep herding together in defense of one another. Cute.

I doubt you'd find anyone who supports the choosing to take ones life without restrictions or specific cases. Especially when said life has no voice in the manner to begin with. Science says life begins at inception. What happened to "trust the science" Pagerow?

At least you're highlighting how morally corrupt, and how hypocritical you are. You sick fuck. Seriously, imagine being so manipulated the thought of killing unborn children is acceptable. Get the fuck out of here....
