Do our Senators want the Federal relief or not?

Why is the response taking so long?

The state should be leading the charge in the recovery efforts.

Marco Rubio voted against hurricane relief, asked for additional hurricane relief, and praised the Biden administration's hurricane relief

Hurricane Ian devastated Florida this past week as Republican Senators voted against relief.

Sen. Marco Rubio and Sen. Rick Scott also penned a letter asking for federal relief for the hurricane damage.

Florida locals say they are running out of resources as they attempt to recover from the storm.

Sen. Marco Rubio demonstrated this week a now-familiar Republican routine around taking federal money for hurricane relief.

Florida Senators Request More Federal Aid Despite Not Voting For Hurricane Relief
Florida's Republican senators have asked for federal funding to help with relief after Hurricane Ian ripped through the state ? despite neither lawmaker voting on Thursday for billions in disaster relief, some of which would go toward hurricane recovery efforts.

But just one day earlier, Scott and Rubio refused to vote for such additional funding. The stopgap spending bill that the Senate passed on Thursday includes about $18.8 billion in additional funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to respond to Hurricane Ian and future disasters.

All 25 senators who refused to vote for the bill were Republicans. Scott voted against it, and Rubio didn't vote at all. The House also passed the bill, with Republicans overwhelmingly voting against it.

Doubt that they were voting against Ian relief. I am guessing that the POS put in some ridiculous language/spending in the bill that richly deserved to be shot down. So, I will blame the POS for this.

Lame shit lil matty getzit, child rapist, voted against it too.
And all of them voted against help during sandy. Of course, that's the same dirtbag pill mill rick who profiteered on cleaning waste debris after hurricanes. Of course, according to the ever clueles wimpy burger pigpoleon: he's doing a fiiine job.
Meanwhile, people stuck in the ground zero area are having to walk(?) out of destroyed areas because lee county sheriffs have access roads blocked, an apparently no one is actually coming to assist them.
Of course, this the same lee county making national news for all the repiglican chumpfdirts attacking each other over who be the most "anti-woke".
Every other county in the area started evactuation orders a full day before lee. And the results speak for themselves: double the number of dead.
so much for winning.....vote these swine out folks.

Now getzits wants Gubmint funds, even though he voted against it...

Matt Gaetz is asking the government to fund Hurricane Ian disaster relief days after he voted against FEMA aid

Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz is calling for the US to send aid to Floridians in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian - but he also voted "no" to a bill that carved out cash for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, to do just that.

"Dear Congress: On behalf of my fellow Florida Man in grave need of assistance.... Just send us like half of what you sent Ukraine. Signed, Your Fellow Americans," Gaetz wrote on Twitter.

Gaetz's appeal for funding came two days after he - and 200 other Republicans - voted against a stopgap measure that sought to fund the government through December. Among other provisions, the bill also gave $18.8 billion to FEMA's disaster relief fund...

From what I can see, , , , , , it is not a matter of voting against "relief", it is a matter of rejecting all of the "pork" that is attached by jerks.

Dimsantis doing the walk of groveling today.

Guess which state could use some migrant help right about now.

Instead, they're all kicking back in Martha's Vineyard rubbing elbows with "northern elites" after a comped private plane ride.

Nice job Lil' Donnie!
