Boeing is going to find out, and it's looking like some shipping companies might as well.
The trend for years now has been to cut staff, squeeze remaining employees to do more with less, and reward shareholders with dividends and stock buy backs. But of course both political parties will make sure it's you, the taxpayer, who picks up the bill in the end. Private profits and public losses. I hope their bean counters make mathematical sense out of their past moral lapses and start doing right not because it's right but because it costs too much in lawsuits to keep doing wrong. It's not morality but it works sometimes.
