Even progs are geting their piece from their fellow dunces. I love seeing this kind of thing. And what's the deal with upping the threshold? Tax break for the rich? I don't think so.

Taking off the political hat for a moment and I would say that steps must be taken to discourage real estate speculation, and maybe this is an attempt.

I would tie this to how often you're selling. If you liked in Satty for 50 years and want to sell because it's full of Guy Harvey guys driving golf carts, you should be able to take that profit to buy a new home in a free state.

But if you bought up houses to flip and now you want to cash out 5 of them for Blackrock to rent at $4K, piss off. You're keeping working people from being able to own a home.

As I understand it, those folks do not get the capital gains break anyway.

Good. Yeah, not a problem high on my list. I'd prefer we focus on affordable housing for teachers and mechanics, not saving folks with multi-million dollar houses a few bucks.

However, despite bipartisan support and backing from the National Association of Realtors®, the bill has remained in committee since it was introduced. It is unclear when it might reach a floor vote in the Republican-controlled House, with one Democratic staffer telling Realtor.com that the prospects of passing the bill in the current session look "pretty dim."

Democrats are trying fix the issue and Republicans are blocking once again.

T-fap. you might want to read what you post before you make some stupid, incorrect comment. lol

Progs are getting fleeced? How so?

The average home price is now $400,000. That means the number needs to be moved up to help the average American. Your fleece comment makes no sense.

Look at the states where this has the largest effect and you'll have your answer.

Property tends to be worth more where people actually want to live.

Now run long to Alabama and you'll have nothing to worry about.

Not necessarily. For example, over half of Californians want to leave that shithole. But housing prices are exorbitant.

Supply and demand is a lie or what you said is a lie.

I suspect you have some trauma related to California. They have therapists who specialize in such things if you decide to work on yourself.

Maybe we can start a GoFundMe to get California Paul into therapy.

Lord knows he needs it.

But I'm still suspicious it's a brain worm.

A convenient example. As it is overrun by progs, we can look at that shithole to see what not to do.
