A primary challenge has never resulted in a win for the challenger and a strong challenger typically results in a loss to the other party for an incumbent president. The transition from incumbent VP to President seems like the best option, and Kamala's experience as a prosecutor, a Senator, and VP makes her the most qualified candidate imaginable to me. Anything is better than the former guy in my opinion.
