The Dems need to go through a robust scrubbing of who could be a viable candidate in 2028.
It Harris comes out on top, so be it.

I know a few folks who voted for Trump who wish they hadn't and would vote for Harris on a do-over.
One couple is in the process of buying a house and they have a sizeable down but it is in fidelity/vanguard type ETF funds.
They thought that the stockmarket would rocket up, as Trump had promised if he was elected.
Instead, they have closing in April and are waiting to pull funds from their ETFs.
Right now they are nearly 50k down from election day and are not happy with Trump in the least because he hasn't done jack for the economy...not to mention the other BS they didn't expect trump to do with DOGE.

So, I'm thinking the GOP better do what they need to do and stop elections by 2026...because they will probably lose the House, and maybe more.

I don't know where Harris will be in 2028 but I doubt she will be on the ticket for democrats. The democrats have a messaging problem and they haven't gotten through it or past yet. She epitomized the worst aspects of the messaging problem. Newsom has already started pushing towards a center that would invite the GOP regret voters. He's shiny and sharp and he's a front runner but it's very early and the democrats are seen right now a party of castrated whiners wondering who's going to fund universal income for black transgender illegal aliens.

New laws requiring full financial disclosure and divestment of any conflicts of interest for congress, the supreme court, and the president. You want to serve your country? Then give up your holdings.
Legislate away Citizens United and more to get $ out of politics.
