Progs will be furious. They hate good news for Americans.

"In May, it only rose 0.1%"
"Excluding volatile food and energy prices."

Great SUCCESS!

When did the tariffs take effect and how long does it take retailers to exhaust pre tariff inventories and start feeling pressure to raise prices?

I see how you all got fooled and fooled again, didn't realize that you were paying more in 2020 because of tariffs, an exploded deficit and economic chaos created by 4 years of incompetence and idiocy.

The news will likely not be good as the summer heats up and the effects of the trump instability as well as the attack on the (immigrant) labor force start to show up in the numbers.

This is definitely massaged data pushed by the Admin
And last month's "data" is way too soon to measure the effects of the TACO chaos

Did some research, progs. Only Singapore and Macau have no tariffs. Better move there quickly, before Weimar-like inflation hits every other country in the world and we all die.

Most countries have between 2 to 3 percent tariffs. Not 30 or 50 or 140.

I do love that the massaged data still shows an increase. Here is a look at reality.

The clown show continues.

Stock futures fell and the dollar swooned as investors considered President Trump's latest threat to dictate tariff rates to other countries.

Late Wednesday, Trump said the U.S. was "rocking in terms of deals," as it held trade talks with about 15 countries, including Japan and South Korea - but couldn't do that for 150-plus trading partners.

"We're going to be sending letters out in about a week and a half, two weeks, to countries telling them what the deal is, like I did with [the] EU," he said. In mid-May, the president made similar comments.

I am sure that your world is horrible, Hoaxmeister. That comes with being a fool. As for the rest of us, things are pretty good right now.

They are the same or worse than they were when Biden left office and yet the world was ending for you at that time and Biden was the reason. You truly are an idiot. lol

The same, huh? Then why are your fellow psychopaths protesting at that idiotic No Kings hoax? We all know that progs don't protest unless things are going well in the country.

You can see the jump in inflation in June.
Some key imports are starting to spike in price.

Price hikes in June alone:
Durable goods +0.5%
Linens +5.9%
Oranges +4.7%
Olives +4.4%
Cookware +4%
Audio equipment +2.9%
Major appliances +2.4%
Coffee +2.2%
Sports equipment +1.8%
Toys +1.4%

Some items did see decreases:
Eggs -10.8%
New vehicles -0.2%

Bottom line: This is just the beginning. But we need to watch food closely. Increases there are really tough on middle class and moderate-income households.

We also need to factor in everyday things like roofing, auto repairs, healthcare, medicines, lawn care, tires, toothpaste, electrical tape and the other zillion things that aren't made in the US..

Yep, Trump tamed Dementia Joe's horrendous inflation. Normal people are appreciative. PRogs, on the other hand, are bummed. They want high inflation.

So Tpap, you mention the Weimar Republic inflation, is that the only lesson from that time you are aware of?

Ah yes, Americans are pining for the good old days under Dementia Joe when inflation was 9%, interest rates shot up, and everyone's pay went down relative to inflation. In light of those outstanding numbers, it is very strange that everyone hated Dementia Joe. As Nancy Pelosi suggested, that man should be on Mt. Rushmore.

All caused by events that occurred "under" Trump.
Tariffs
Exploded deficit, and
a mismanaged pandemic

How much did he spend bailing out the agricultural industry because of his stupid tariffs?
How much did he spend mailing stimulus checks to everyone, trying to buy votes?
Check the reports today of farm bankruptcies so far this year.
Check the value of the dollar and our credit rating.
Where's the money going to come from to bail out his next disaster?

Breaking News: Consumer prices accelerated in June, rising 2.7% from a year earlier, as tariffs started to leave a bigger imprint on the U.S. economy.

The economy was too hot. Too many people had too much money and corporations saw it as profit time. Yes, that was Biden's fault. Many of us pushed for anti price gouging legislation, but that was impossible with Republicans in the House and Senate.

The current inflation is not based on an over heated economy. It is directly from Trump's solo actions.

Don't blame me, I voted for Harris.
