Sadly, it took the killing of one of the Trump administration's friends to actually get them fired up about shootings.

Kids getting killed at schools and at churches wasn't quite enough.
Every one of those people deserved the same attention and protection as the late Mr. Kirk.

It will be interesting to see how many of the GOP change their minds on reasonable firearms restrictions, and toning down the hateful rhetoric.
