It was fun while it lasted.

While Mr. Kirk really only has himself, his rhetoric and his choices to blame for his fate, he did have 2 small children, whom I feel for.

This will hang over them for the rest of their lives, at no fault of their own. It's a shame Mr. Kirk put his family in a situation that could lead to this, but that irresponsibility lies on his shoulders. His offspring will pay for his selfishness.

I've had my laughs, but I'm not going to play into some caricature of what Maga Meatheads think a "lib" is.

Unlike them, I am a rational free-thinking human being and I'm not in a cult of increasing animalistic behavior.

I donno, that part of the country is home to some serious big game such as mule deer, elk, pronghorn, bison, mountain goat, and desert and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep.
Using a basic hunting rifle in a hunting caliber taking that game at ranges of 200+ yards is pretty common. Honestly a 200 yard shot on target even with elevation differences, etc. isn't outside the skill of an average hunter in that area.

What is more impressive is that this person had an escape and evade plan that seems to have worked.

We really don't know what the motives of the killing are.
Proclaiming that it is a political assassination and it was done by people who don't agree with Kirk is premature. It may turn out to be correct, but pros don't speculate.

Many on the right are proclaiming that this is because people are calling them fascists, authoritarians, Nazis, etc. Well, if you don't want to be called those names don't embrace those ideas or actions, don't spread conspiracy theories, don't tear down our democracy.

Stephen Miller does have a plan, Project 2025, that tears down our three co equal branches of power. This is a a guy who joked about cutting peoples fingers off as a form of torture.
