It's a democratic hoax

Doubt NYC will lose too much population. The fleeing productive people will largely be replaced by bums and criminals wanting to cash in on the free stuff and to engage in the penalty-free crime. I would expect to see an uptick in adventure tourists too. A ride on the free, mobile homeless shelters will certainly be one of the most dangerous thrill rides on the planet.
