The OKs look nice but Searched and couldn't find anything 21"
At 6'3 Those 16" would make me feel like Magnum PI!! ....but with chicken legs. Or like putting a colt buntline in a snub nose holster.

Since you got me looking I found some Patagonia 21" hydro planning model. For about half off. Figured I might live a little and try those. Anybody have pros or cons?

Get the Patagonia's used on eBay for Under 15 bucks shipped. 90% of the time they're from some guy from Minnesota that wore them once. Wash them and good to go. The birdwell 311 are about 20" inseam but not as comfortable as the Patagonia's. Also the birdwells have some weird sizing that you have to go up 2" in waist size.

Birdwells redid their sizing after the Silicon Valley guy took over so they're only a bit smaller than most of the others now. Looks like they're now trying to transition into being a made in Los Angeles apparel company.
Patagonias are great. The top of the line Hydro Planing is worth looking for used or clearance. Last pair got too big, so I'm looking for a cheap 36". Welded construction. The Outerknowns at clearance price are a good substitute. Hobie (Fragile Ocean, the store brand) is selling a decent 18" stretch short made in USA for $48 plus expensive shipping.
I swim, so 20-21 shorts are dead weight. A Patagonia advertising video, probably Malloy brothers, called their shorts "Speedos for people who don't wear Speedos." That seems about right.
