A lot of the local pool contractors I've called say they're too busy until the end of October. Any one out there recommend any pool contractors for Indialantic? I work offshore and will not be home til August 19th and currently have Intercostal Pools coming to give an estimate. Any of you guys know anything about them or recommend anyone else? If anyone on here is a pool contractor would love to give you some business.

I'd very much like to know what I could expect to pay for a 12' x 20' simple rectangle pool (trying to economize).

Intercoastal swimming pools is an excellent company based out of Melbourne. Also, East Coast Pools of Brevard. I used to work for Rick. He uses top notch materials and unless it's perfect, he'll make you do it again! Brevard Pools is mostly a "I'll clean your pool" service or get your pump working again. I don't think they're too much into start to finish pool construction. Avoid Aqua Blue if they're still around at all costs. I built swimming pools for 15 years. If it was my backyard I would choose Intercoastal.

Awesome, thank you for the advice. They're the only ones I've been able to get to come out anytime in the relative near future. Hopefully it works out and ill just go with them! Any rough estimates of what the average size swimming pool goes for these days?

I really couldn't tell you what prices are going for now. I've been out of the business for about 10 years. East Coast Pools is also good. He might be a little pricey but his work is impeccable. Plus, he's from Melbourne Beach. What's going to get you is the screen. Those things are running anywhere from $3000 to $6000 and up. Best of luck. If you need more info here's my phone number 321-987-6133.

Jewels Pools did three houses on my street, all were very pleased. On the other hand my next door neighbor used All in One Pools. That was a six month nightmare!

I actually found Jewells pools online last night and am going to have them come out after Intercoastal for a 2nd estimate, unless we're so happy with Intercoastals ideas and estimate we just go with them. Thanks for all the input!

So far I have Intercoastal, PMCI, and Jewell pools coming out for quotes mid August. I'll also be talking to Legacy Pools Monday, which I've heard very good things about but may be too pricey, we'll see.

I spoke with PMCI and they are very knowledgeable and the guy has been working pools in Brevard county for 20+ years. Really nice folks. Our project was put on hold and PMCI got busy so we went with Inter-coastal. We ended up with a great pool. Quite happy with the final result. One bit of advice, help plan the pool, including the placement of the jets especially in the spa. Keep a final, agreed upon drawing with you and show it to every team that arrives. They are a busy group and will cut corners. This is applicable for any pool contractor as a lot of the teams are subs.

Exactly what RocketSurf stated! Used Intercoastal two years ago, and happy with cost and craftsmanship. You really are limited to only two companies in all of Brevard, that spray the marsite, that could be a 3-4 month wait with certain smaller companies. Intercoastal, being the contractor with the most volume in Brevard, tends to hold subs to dates.

Intercostal did ours about 4 years ago and crushed it. They were on schedule the whole time and the follow up service/warranty work was spot on

Looks like I'm narrowed down to between Legacy and Intercoastal. Whichever estimates and plans come out best

Mind sharing the size/$ you've been getting quoted?

I'm not scheduled to get my consultations and estimates until the 21st and 24th of August but I will let you know after that process and my decisions!

Have you looked at Viking Fiberglass pools from Midwest. I contracted the project myself, it was simple and quick, just a few weeks total - after permit. Saved over 10Gs as well.
These pools require almost no chems, they don't get algae on the walls and require no bottom drains. They never need refinishing either...

The pool screen will bump the price up big time. Put cold drinks out for the guys ............................................you will get a better pool if you do that. Cut up cold watermelon made me work better,,,,, it is the little thing that make a good job or an ok job.

I'll definitely have cold drinks for them! Anyone ever heard of or used premier pools and spas? Had a recent quote and brief emails back and forth. Not too impressed with the advice / communications from them. I know they're busy, but beat around the bush instead of answering simple questions straight forward
