I should get a decent repair to the collar of my much-liked Volte 3/2 backzip.

What do you need done? Send some pics.
Do you still have thin suits you'll scrap for neoprene? Also, the o'neill 4/3mm?

Outside looks good, inside, for whatever reason, I went overboard with the rubber cement. Back zip. Volte.
I've got the O'Neill 4 mm 2xls and several 2 mms not worth keeping.

I can put nice soft 1 or 2mm neoprene seam patches over that ezdz. Definitely smoothe it out, that looks like a chafe monster, especially on the neck. And I'll clean and seal any other areas on suit

That's a fine offer. I think everything else is in good shape.

Can you alter a suit? I have a full that fits me in length and shoulders but the legs are made for massive thighs/knees for a fat guy I guess (2XXL), can the excess material on the leg seam be removed and re-glued?

Hmmm, that's a tough one. I have done it on my own suits, but if it's done wrong its a major malfunction. It would need to be blind stitched to do properly....i can ask my seamstress, but it would be expensive. What brand, model, thickness of suit?

Got a couple more done, smoothed out that ugly spot for ww, nice smooth patch over both sides. And Thanks for the work and your generosity towards my neoprene materials fund sir.

    Interior side of collar repair
Exterior. The repair is unavoidably stiffer than the soft original but the surfaces are soft and wearable where my own crude repair wasn't. I expect them to look cleaner after a few uses and rinsings. /the bits of white stuff do not affect the feel.
I've been out of the water with a painful scrape on one foot and a tiny ulcer on a toe. So my favorite wetsuit is back in service. It's allegedly a 3/2, but Volte suits were very lightweight, and I use it like others' 2/2. I wish they were still selling in the US. For a while, they were doing very well. One of mine was a nice sale item at Jack's in Newport Beach.

Thanks WG for the kind words.
And ww: of course any glued on patch will be somewhat less soft and supple than the original suit material.
I thought compared to the original repair which was like shoe leather, it was quite an improvement. I went to great lengths to make sure it would be smooth and non chafing.
I satisfaction guarantee all work I do, and will quickly and gladly refund your payment

spindrift, I intended my comment to be complimentary, so I've revised. I was preoccupied with getting decent photos. Wetsuits are about as photogenic as black Labrador Retrievers, and the repair was probably even worse. The discolorations caused by bits of glue show up better in the images than in life, and the slightly discolored areas are as smooth as the rest of the patch.
It did not help that painful feet kept me sitting around the house for a week, so didn't get the suit wet. I think the CVS "clear Advanced Healing hydrocolloid bandages" helped heal what was turning into a miniature ulcer, a little crater on my toe.

Yoooo!! Think you could repair a zipper on a golf bag?? I attached the pic. It's the pocket that holds all the balls. Not a wetsuit but figured I'd ask and keep it in the 2ndL family. Text me if possible 321-544-One two zero three.

Thank you for the kind clarification ww, I put a lot of work making sure that was as supple and non chafing as I could. Nothing worse than a seam chewing holes in you while surfing. Sorry it's a bit ugly though.
Sorry about your foot, I got some persistent crud on my legs from doing kayak tours on the river. Look forward to more of your photos and intelligent commentaries.
Does the golf bag need a slider?
