I am looking for a piece of old commercial-grade carpet to lay down in my garage. Size needed is about 20x20 and I would like a real low pile, like you see in commercial spaces/offices. If somebody is reconfiguring an office space and trashing serviceable carpet, please give me a PM me. Thanks

Lowes sells adhesive backed commercial carpet squares for pretty cheap. That's what I did with my garage. Plus then they're easy to change out if anything like oil or grease gets on them.

Check the local carpet stores, sometimes they have odd scraps and leftovers from other jobs you can get for free. I got some free bits at one to but under my garage board racks.

Thanks for the advice. No hurry on my part, so I will hope somebody is modernizing their office complex or something. I got my original when we put in the big rolling shelving units in our Tech Library in the 90s. Hope springs eternal. Would rather keep something still serviceable out of the dump (and, as a bonus, get it for free!).

I have one for you, recently got a new dog and it's peed on it a couple of times but you can come get it if you want. After a nice soap and pressure wash it'll look nice. PM me with email and I'll send pics.
