That was a bust. Too much fresh water from the canal and the most No-see-ums I have ever seen anywhere in the world. OH MY GOD!

All Xmas break I was thinking I should go but didn't. I even got a ton of pompano rigs and lures from family for xmas. Glad I stayed at home.

It was 80 degrees at 8 PM. I don't think the fish quite know what to do when the temperatures are 10 degrees above normal and the amount of fresh water is equal to that of summer.

Two snook last night, both in slot size, but would have been released anyway. Drifted palm sized Pilchards for an hour at dark with only one hit. The snook came on a bucktail and a Bomber after dark. The guys are the end of the south were chucking big Striper lures and getting a few monster snook.
The skilled guys were getting some good Sheepshead around the rocks - bits of clam, Sandfleas, but the Blues, Reds and even Jack were nonexistent. Tom in the bait shop said there was an all-time run of Pompano four days ago. I didn't see a single one caught yesterday.
Two guys were flipping small mullet by the steel, never saw them get a flounder.... or a hit for that matter.

Yikes all the wind should slow down by Monday /Tuesday. Still going to try a little beach fishing high tide this morning let's see what happens.

Some big snook; north side, incoming, by the old cleaning table on bucktails.

Night or light? Looks like we finally got our big North frontal push. I'm hoping this kicks up the flounder, pompano and everything else. I will not be targeting snook until they open up next month.

Right at dark. These were way to big to keep, but I let them all go, even in season, so...
A guy was fishing with dink mullet and never got a hit in the 1.5 hours I was near him.
The grody huge Drum were there for the bottom people. No interest what-so-ever.
