I go with the "just catch something method." Cut bait for the scent and trash fish, and clams and fresh cut shrimp for the tasty ones.
I put out four rods with cut mullet the other day and the chaos from the Blues kept the teenagers sprinting up and down the beach. Pure fun.

We have snook and croaker on the beach already. On the minus side, the sharks are here with them; lots of sharks.
I bet inlet is blowing up.

Grab a surfrod and a big topwater plug you dont mind losing .... we cant surf fish up here ... havent got 1 pompano this year

Mojarra are packed into the inlet; snook, jacks and reds are making the most of them. There are some weeds flowing through, but it is fish able.
