A new experience for me and it's pretty damn fun. 650 feet of water in the mud and you catch something? Nope, can't happen. I'm happy to say I was wrong.

A four knot current, 800 feet of line out and a bluegill like bite. There was a definite learning curve.

I over cooked the first batch. I'm going to do the next one like the fillets are shellfish.

Quick heat with salt and pepper in light olive oil, then melted butter for dipping.

Jesus, electric. lol

The current was running so hard there would be 900 feet of line out in 650 feet of water with eight pounds of lead. I got tired waiting on the electrics.

It was my first time too and thought it might be boring, but I was wrong. All eyes stayed glued on the rod tip the whole time. I panicked on one and hit free-spool instead of the retrieve button. lol

The issue with human power is the eight pound weight and changing the bait after a short strike.

You can pick up all kinds of odd tasty creatures in the deep.
