About 8 years ago, I wanted to make "Foxy Lady" palms, so I planted a row trees where I alternated foxtail, vietchia, foxtail, vietchia, foxtail, vietchia.
They have finally started to bloom at the same time and I have harvested my first batch of "potential" hybrid seeds. I'm waiting to see if they germinate. |

I have been on the lookout for foxtails and vietchias blooming close to each other....good luck on the germination...well worth the 8 year wait hopefully

Interestingly, both Palm Grower and my Wodyetia x Veitchia hybrid mature trees have been flowering regularly for several years, but never set seed. Looks like this hybrid is a "mule".
