Well, I thought all the showy Curcuma varieties were sterile hybrids and also though that we didn't have pollinators for them around here. Anyway, one of our Curcumas just had a lot of seedling babies in the back garden. Maybe the Cuban Tree Frog that lived in the flower did the pollinating. Anybody know how long I should leave them in the ground before attempting to move? The sprouts look really tender and I reckon they need to harden off before disturbing.

I just googled curcuma. Is that a tuber plant? Maybe spread underground?

Yeah, I normally divide. But one of ours actually produced seedlings this year.
