Thursday.
weak front will slide southward across central Florida today. Showers and lightning storms return to the forecast, primarily near to south of a line from Lake Kissimmee to Melbourne. An isolated stronger storm will be capable of frequent lightning strikes, wind gusts of 40-55 mph, and coin-sized hail. High temperatures are forecast closer to normal in the mid 80s to low 90s. |

Issued at 401 AM EDT Thu May 22 2025 - Weak front moves into the area today, leading to an increase in shower/storm chances through late week. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe thunderstorms exists for portions of east central Florida today and Friday. - A low to medium chance for afternoon/evening showers and storms will exist through the weekend (20-40%), with daily shower and storm chances increasing into next week (40-50%). - Temps will be closer to seasonal norms today. However, hotter conditions return through the holiday weekend, with highs back in the mid 90s for portions of the interior. |
