I just figured out why my large pineapple palm is failing. After doing some research online it sounds like it has ganoderma butt rot. Anyone ever have an experience with this fungal disease? It says it is fatal and to remove the tree immediately so it does not infect nearby trees. Just wondering how I am going to remove a tree that is about 10 feet around!!! Anyone know someone who removes old palm trees???
