Middle of the state on some cheap land, probably near St. John's swamp and Mormon ranches, maybe even West Cocoa near the landfill...
Easy access via MCO, Beeline, Turnpike, I-4... It might keep crowds down in the real ocean as well. Seems like something the size of Orlando Water Sports Park (the cable wakeboarding park near the airport) could hold an adequate wave close to the tourist district, but I'd aim for something bigger and cheaper, capable of holding a world tour type of contest. With all the pro waterski/wakeboard talent the warm waters of CFL have spawned, odds are good we'd produced another Rick Kane every 2-3 years. |
