The biggest problem with nuclear up to this point has been the back up diesel generators that can only go for a week. If a tsunami comes and knocks every part offline, you have a melt down. The solution for these smaller reactors is a passive cooling pond that doesn't require pumps. This seems like the solution to bring nuclear back into the solution.
