If you set a precedent that you can be a "whistleblower" for something you didn't even hear first hand, while remaining anonymous, then you are opening the door for people to just make up whatever the f they want. It's retarded. It isn't good for anyone. It will create an environment from here on out in which the legislative branch spends all its time with these bullshit investigations.

The whistleblower's name is Eric Ciaramella and he needs to testify under oath. Keep it behind closed doors if you want to. I don't care but both sides deserve to question him. It has been reported widely that Ciaramella has close ties to John Brennan, Susan Rice, and he previously worked under Joe Biden while Biden was VP. Someone's motivation does matter in situations like this one. Schiff wants him to remain anonymous, so no one has to testify under oath regarding how much interaction Schiff's office had with the "whistleblower" before he came forward with the complaint officially.
